Hello!

I'm Ms. Maria Randolph. I've been teaching since 1999. My love of the honesty, interest, and sponge-like absorbency of young children's brains led me to Montessori teaching.

Getting to know me!

I would like to tell you a few things about myself.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I come from a family of 11 children, of which I am the 5th child. I have 31 nieces and nephews and 12 grand nephews. I moved out to Arizona in 2002 right after my husband, Paul, and I married 23 years ago.

I have worked with children for over 24 years from ages newborn to 6 plus. From daycares and preschools to even being a Nanny. I really enjoy my time around children.

For the past few years I’ve worked at different Montessori schools. I started as a lead teacher for an extended care program, then I was a teacher's Assistant to a Pre Primary class, I then had the opportunity to be a Lead teacher for a Christian Primary classroom, and most recent taught as a co-lead in a Children's House class. I really enjoyed my experience and loved learning more about the Montessori philosophy.

In 2019-2020 I attended the Arizona Montessori Teacher Education Program and received my Associates Credential for Montessori Early Childhood Education thru American Montessori Society.

In 2024 I decided that it was time to make my dream a reality and opened Casita Montessori out of my home, an intermediary step to one day opening a full-sized Montessori school. I share my home with my husband Paul, our Chocolate Lab Fritz, and Forest our red eared turtle.

When I am not teaching or planning awesome things for us to do at school.

I enjoy crafts, DIY projects, reading, cooking, walking, hiking, camping, and lots of family time. I continue to attend AMS refresher courses every year. I am fluent in English and Spanish.

I can't wait to spend the year learning and growing with you!

Now that you know a little about me I can't wait to meet you!
